music
For more than ten years, I have enjoyed helping young musicians develop their talents through private lessons on saxophone, flute, clarinet, and recorder. I work with learners of all experience levels, from beginners playing their first notes to advanced performers preparing for auditions, honor bands, and Solo & Ensemble Festivals. Many of the musicians I have taught have earned superior ratings at festivals and been selected for county and state honor ensembles.
Lessons follow a structured curriculum based on the trusted Rubank method and are enhanced with rhythm, scale, technique, and musicianship exercises that encourage steady growth and lasting achievement. Instruction is available in-home throughout the Conejo Valley area or virtually via Zoom for families outside the region.
MATH
I am a graduate of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona), where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering. As the former Center Director of Mathnasium of Thousand Oaks, I had the privilege of guiding K–12 learners through a wide range of mathematical concepts, from developing strong Number Sense foundations to mastering advanced Pre-Calculus topics.
Students are encouraged to bring classwork, homework, study guides, or test preparation materials so we can focus on the concepts that need the most attention. Whether your child needs extra support or wants to stay ahead in class, I look forward to helping them strengthen their understanding, improve problem-solving skills, and develop a positive attitude toward mathematics and learning.
